Partnership for advancement
Ghana today vs. Ghana tomorrow

Several major infrastructural plans have commenced or are in the pipeline, driving forward the change in the skyline of Ghana as we know-it, fuelling economic growth and placing significant pressure on the construction industry to meet the demands of implementing world-class infrastructure and of course the provision of housing to a growing population.

“Bosch products have been available in Ghana for many years through sales partners. Establishment of on the ground presence with the official opening of Bosch offices on the 11th November 2015 and the official opening of the Country Sales Office in July 2016 was the first step in rooting our commitment to Ghana” says Emmanuel Agyei, the Managing Director Bosch Ghana. He adds, “In the past year, the Bosch power tools team have established Bosch Solution Boxes at various construction sites engaging with tradespeople on ‘best-in-class’ solution fit power tools supported with training and aftersales service.”

Regional Sales Director, Power Tools, responsible for West & Central Africa, Benjamin Ofori confirms, “Bosch Ghana has geared a full business offering for the Construction, Mining & related industries to meet their needs which includes a wide variety of power tools such as measuring, drilling, cutting and grinding to name a few. In addition, these are supported with a wide range of accessories for construction, woodworking and metalworking industries, delivering high quality performance delivering optimal efficiency for industries thereby fulfilling the needs of the developing economy.”

Tradespeople have come a long way as they have been accustomed to traditional hand tools. With the conversion to the use of power tools, productivity has increased with accuracy and tradespeople enjoy the benefit of reduced wastage of raw materials. “Our aim is to provide professionals with tools that are easy to use and will increase productivity in their day-to-day work.” says Benjamin Ofori

Benjamin Ofori adds, “Our focus on the end-user has enabled us provide a wide range of professional products best suited to meet the user needs from innovative solutions with safety features all support with training and aftersales service outlets. The tools are designed to assist the user to, literally, deliver high quality under extremely tight deadlines. At the same time, occupational health and safety plays an increasingly important role. “

One solution is powerful cordless tools. They offer high mobility on construction sites without long set-up times – tradespeople can start work immediately. Take our 18-volt class, for example: We promoted lithium-ion technology from the start, with a high rate of innovation, continuously increasing capacity since 2007. Compact batteries, characterized by their low weight, have increased in capacity from 1.3 to 2.0 Ah; XL batteries, characterized by a long runtime, have increased from 2.6 to 6.0 Ah. However, we have by no means exhausted the possibilities offered by lithium-ion technology. Tradespeople can use our powerful and compact cordless tools to work freely without an annoying cord and without having to constantly recharge their battery.

Bosch Power Tools engaged in a VIP event on the 30th August 2017, at the Movenpick Hotel, Accra, presenting the full offering to key stakeholders of the Construction, Mining & Services industry underpinning Bosch as the business partner supporting in the development and growth of Ghana. Tradespeople in Ghana can enjoy the full benefits from Bosch including product and application training with in country aftersales service.
