Hello,
I have just ordered the GMF 1600 CE dual base router with the intention of getting a router table as soon as I understand which ones are compatible.

I can on the product page https://www.bosch-professional.com/ch/de/gmf-1600-ce-23291-ocs-p/ there is a simple bosch table showing in the photos, but I cannot find any reference to it. What router tables are compatible and recommended to work with the GMF 1600 CE ?

regards
Steve

Hello Steve.
Little bit of deceit going on by Bosch with that picture you link. First off, the table pictured has a retrofit top on, under which the router has been fitted. A bit of picture enhancement reveals the table base to be a GTA 700. Don't bother looking for it, it doesn't exist!
Bosch do do a router table (RA 1181 and the RA 1171) but only for the US market it seems. Even with delivery cost to the UK (assuming you're here) it'd still be a decent prices but, even if you soucred a good quality step down transformer or plug converter, your table would be unable to power your router as it's US voltage. Shame. Don't know why Bosch haven't done a EU/UK version.
A reasonably priced and decent quality router table is the Charnwood W020. It has the benefit of a "universal" clamping system (rather than screw in's you often see) allowing it to use just about any router. Here.
You could always set yourself a project of building your own. Be sure to get yourself a decent table insert if you do (a UJK one for example). An insert might need drilling/tapping for your router though.
Axminster Tools have a pretty good range of router tables at a variety of budgets. I'd recomend giving them a call, telling them what router you have, and they'll be able to recommend a suitable table. I've found them really helpful in the past.

Hello Bailey,
thanks for the quick reply. I see what you mean about the pictured table. I did see the RA 1181 and RA 1171 - these are the sort of thing I am looking for - has anyone tried converting one to 220v - I assume there is a just a power switch and a couple of US style 110v sockets...

My second option will be to build a router base to sit on my GTS 10 XC.

I'll have a look at the Axminster site - maybe I'll visit next time I'm in the UK - I'm based in Switzerland.

best
Steve

Hi Steve.
I'm pretty sure there are some people that have incorporated the GTS XC 10 into workbenches including a router table. Could be a good project.
If you did fancy importing one of the US Bosch router tables, (RA 1171/1181) I'm sure you could swap out the in-built switch/socket for an EU aftermarket NVR switch. Here's a 230v example from Axminster. Pretty sure you'd be able to find a version where you are. Going by the prices on Ebay, even importing the Bosch table from the US and replacing the NVR switch would still be cheaper than buying the modestly priced Charnwood example I linked above.
Good luck. Let us know how you get on

After much consideration I have decided to get the Incra LS Combi system - it will update my GTS 10 XC fence and install a router table to the left of the circular saw. It's rather expensive, but system is very interesting, particularly when the same functions can be used on the router and the table saw.

Incra metric tablesaw combo #1

anyone have any thoughts on this

Damn it Steve!! I wish you hadn't shown me the Incra system - I want one now. 6-8 week wait though due to backlogue apparently.
I see they do a metric conversion for the fence scales. Couldn't see that they offer the same for their book/templates though. Might be worth an email to find out.
Aside from those on industrial 3 phase panel saws and router tables, the Incra system looks the best I've seen by quite a margin.

Compatibility is a very important factor while choosing router table.  Some people have interest in doing wooden work at home by their own. Table saw is the best thing for them.  http://sharp.reviews/

The bosch router tables are very convenient, I have been using it for many years now. Now there are a lot of reviews of the router tables that will help you choose.  https://www.top5reviewed.com/benchtop-router-tables/
