Hi legnumnick.
Like your hack on a similar thread about adapting your Makita radio to take your Bosch batteries. The Makita DAB site radio is ubiquitous but I always found them a bit bass heavy and muggy as a result. On smaller jobs, this bass, even at low levels, is too intrusive and lead to frequent requests back in the day of "turn it down", even when it wasn't that loud!
I went with a Pure DAB for a while. Not meant for site use but did well considering. When that got damaged (not on site funny enough) I plumped for the little Festool BR10+ DAB. It's fantastic and Screwfix had a great price on it too. Small enough to be L-Boxxed. Has a big punch for it's size and has exceptional sound quality for a small speaker. It's tripod mountable aswell which I really like (pic below showing it mounted to one of my Bosch tripods). It doesn't come with a battery but I've since picked up a cheap battery and charger for it second hand on eBay. It's perfect for me now. Recomended.

Come on Bosch, up your game.  When are we going to see a new site radio with the specs everyone is asking for and most of which are considered standard these days?

Even Dewalt have managed to produce a stackable site radio with DAB & Bluetooth now: http://products.dewalt.co.uk/storage/productdetails/catno/DWST1-75663-GB/

Would much prefer a Bosch version compatible with the L-Boxx system and surely there is a proven demand for this prduct now to make it worth you looking at?

Hi nagornyyd.

I think you might have invalidated your warranty on whatever tool that used to be.

On a serious note.

You all know I wish I could give you some good news. This is a really old thread and despite my best efforts over the duration of the thread I just can't get a confirmation on any new production of DAB enabled radios. You can be sure that as soon as there is a announcement I would be on here with the whole parade & requesting a knighthood for my contribution to the commonwealth.

Had enough of searching the net for an updated version of my Bosch GML50 with DAB. So I have got a nextbase digital radio adapter, this uses the 12v socket to power the nextbase and the AUX input 1 is used to input the output to the radio. I also get bluetooth connectivity from the nextbase. Not the best with the long coiled leads (maybe search for smaller ones off Amazon). But well does the job and makes use of the large speakers and the base speaker on my radio.
