Hi all would appreciate some help & advice. So I purchased a bare bones GKS 18v-57 from screwfix here in the UK. The manufacture date is 12/2019 as per the attached pics. It appears to have totally the wrong base plate fitted to suit the fsn 1600 guide rail I brought elsewhere. The fitted base plate is different to the one pictured in the manual. Very annoyed. I spent over £300 in total for the saw, guide rail & clamps. After reading plenty online I was under the impression it would all be compatible with each other? I will be speaking to bosch / screwfix on Monday. Any help recommendations would be appreciated.

There are 2 versions of this saw the GKS 18v-57 and the GKS 18v-57G,You need the "G" version to fit the guide rail system, the "G" stands for Guide rail version

Hi thanks for the response. Doubt screwfix will take the saw back as I've fired it up. Oh well.

Thanks for the info. I may try to return, just don't know if they will take it as I have started it up & there is a light scuff on the base plate. No harm in trying though. I have ordered the correct model elsewhere now.

I have used different branches and all have been good with returns so good luck , just be honest. Last year i needed a concrete breaker , so i asked them for a recommendation, i bought a concrete breaker off screwfix for 2 weeks work , it wasnt up to the job so had to order a larger one online, but had to keep the screwfix one u til it arrived so could keep the job going.....after 2 days it was blasted with mud and scratches...i then returned it and .they still have me a full refund as they sold me the wrong tool, they suggested the full refund ! good luck

I designed my own Rail adaptor to accommodate this problem since I already got the GKS 18v-57 and 2 rails i could'nt return.

The dimensions can be sharpened up but for now it does what i need them to, let me use my saw and rails :)
