GTS 10 XC disk wobbling like crazy

Hi

I have just purchased GTS 10 XC and the table saw is almost unusable. Whole motor assebmly is wobbling like crazy while cutting. When engine is off I can move disk from side to side and feel and hear clicking noise from moving. The assembly is moving at inner tilting sliders.

Any cut is so bad that any cheap chain saw cuts better. Is this normal? What should I do?

Hello macke4ever
Well, the simple bit to answer is no, this isn't normal.
As you say the the movement is coming from the tilting sliders I'd first say look to the most obvious cause: the red locking lever for bevelling at the front of the saw. This sits behind the height adjustment wheel. When the lever is down (90 degrees to the left) the mechanism is unlocked. Push the lever up to lock it.
Also, being a new saw, it might be worth removing the blade, checking it for flatness and that all bushings, spacers and locking nuts are seated properly.
Might be worth having a look under the saw (not that you should have to) to make sure motor mounts etc al all tight and as should be.
Failing that, if the problem persists, return the saw either to your supplier or by contacting Bosch so they can service/replace it.
With the problem you're having, do take care when testing it. A wobbly saw could lead to some nasty kickback.

Hello bailey,
Thank you for your reply.

Tilt lock mechanism is firmly locked (I have general understanding about mechanics). The wobling comes not from the motor spindle or motor mounting. The whole tilt/lift mechanism is moving in inner part of tilt mechanism. The upper part of "tilt hinge" is locked by the red handle, but the very bottom of this assembly is moving sideways.

I have contacted bosch service in Lithuania, sent them photos + video of my problem with full description. Waiting for response now.
Anyways - I will check all bushings, bolt,, nuts and washers .

No disrespect meant by mentioning the locking lever. When trying to diagnose problems, always best to eliminate the most obvious first.
I hope you manage to find the problem or have Bosch sort it for you. Let us know how you get on.
All the best.
