Hi. Just purchased the Bosch glc 2.15 laser level. When for example building a stud wall. The laser self levels on the wall but how do u get the laser to level on the ceiling/head plate ? Or how do know if it’s level? You look up at the ceiling and it’s just guess work. I’m not sure how to use the level so the red laser is level on the ceiling/head plate ! Thank you

Hello getcarter123.
As you mention getting headers "level" I assume you mean using the horizontal laser line rather that the virtical.
If you can get to the ceiling cavity, then the best way to gauge level with the laser is to raise the laser line up to the height you want bottom of the header. I do this with a tripod.
If you're building around/under an existing ceiling then you still want to raise the horizontal laser line as close to the bottom of you header as possible but, if you still can't quite get there, just use the horizontal as a reference and measure from it with a tape measure to get the header in place level.
It's worth check the self levelling of your laser from time to time. To do this, just project your laser lines onto a wall and run a long vial level along the laser lines.
Make sure for self levelling on the laser you possition the appropriate switch to "unlock" (usually an open padlock symbol).

Sorry if I've missunderstood and am covering things you already know or have tried. If this is no help, get back with some more detail of what you want to do - include a picture perhaps - and I'll try again to help you out.
