Hi there,
I'm new on here so not sure if posting in correct place or if problem has come up before,I recently purchased 2 procore batteries to compliment my Bosch tool set.I have since found out the procore batteries fit the GLi light and Gml radio but the compartment door won't shut on either of them so not handy for outside. My main gripe with the procore is they won't fit my Gks18v-Li saw, they are about 10mm shy of sliding in fully. This surely isn't 100% compatable, I do have a solution but it is bodge it involves cutting the plastic saw casing to allow battery to fully slide in.Saw still under warranty but only just so not keen to cut casing! I really like the Gks 18v-Li saw it has been very reliable lightweight enough power for my uses. I have the 6Ah battery and was looking forward to longer run time with procore battery, I already feel a little let down by the fact this saw isn't compatable with the new fsn guide rails and now the procore battery. Thanks for reading and to anyone who has a solution
Robert

Hello rab2074.
The problem with new batteries like the ProCore not fitting the GKS 18V LI isn't new. Lots of people were reporting when Bosch released the Eneracer it had the same problem. The Eneracer too was marketed as 100% compatible. Technically of course it is - as in old Bosch 18v li tools will run off the new batteries - but on certain products there is a size issue. The Eneracer and ProCores have a slightly larger footprint due to the larger cells they're housing.
People did report on here though that you could get the Eneracer to fit the GKS 18V Li by cutting/grinding off a little piece of plastic on the battery mount. You'll know better than me what they might be talking about as I don't have a GKS 18v Li. I did used to have a GKS 18V 57 G though and I can report that had no problem with the Eneracer fitting, as such, it too should be fine with ProCore batteries.
As for the GLI and GML is it the footprint that's too big or is it the depth/height of the battery (assuming you're talking about the 7.0 or 8.0ah ProCores)? If it's the depth thats the problem, you could maybe try the 4.0ah ProCore for your light and radio. I use the 4.0ah ProCores on my GLI but I have the version without the cover.

Hi
thanks for the reply bailey,I believe it would be possible to trim a little off the battery mount to fit the procore battery, just to clarify its the 8Ah batteries, was hoping to hear from someone who had successfully done so. As for the gml50 radio and GLI light it's the depth of the procore battery stopping the compartments from closing, chances are I would use my 4Ah or6Ah to power them as these batteries fit fine. I'm still a big Bosch fan and believe   these procore batteries will make a huge difference to my working life. But if you advertise as 100% compatible it should mean just that!

I agree Robert.
I can't see that it would have been too much of a headache checking new batteries for fit with the older tools. Likewise, the GLI 1900 c - which is the model I assume you have as it's the one with the cover - is a relatively recent tool. Released when Eneracers were available and at a time when the ProCores would surely have been in development. Why the cover wasn't sized to be future proofed for the larger cell batteries then in the pipeline is a mystery.
Seems to me that Bosch have some communication holes that need filling between their various departments. You'd have thought the size and scope of the Bosch group that they'd have this sort of stuff nailed by now but it seems to work against them at times.
