Starting Operation

Dusts, e. g. mineral dusts, can be harmful to health. Touching or breathing in this dust can trigger allergic reactions and/or cause respiratory illnesses in the user or in people in the near vicinity.
Materials containing asbestos may only be machined by specialists.

The regulations on the material being machined that apply in the country of use must be observed.

  • Operate the gear selector switch only when the power tool is not in use.

Turn the gear selector switch (3) to the required gear (I or II).

You can preselect two speed ranges with the gear selector switch (3).

Gear I:

Low speed range

Gear II:

High speed range

To start the power tool, press the on/off switch (1). To lock the on/off switch (1), press the lock on button (5) and release the on/off switch (1).

To switch off the power tool, press briefly on the on/off switch (1) and then release it.

The required speed can be preselected with the speed preselection thumbwheel (2) (even during operation).

The speed needed depends on the mixing material that is to be mixed and the work conditions.

The electronic soft start slowly increases the speed if the on/off switch (1) is pressed. This prevents the mixing material that is to be mixed from splashing.

The constant electronic control keeps a constant speed when at no load and under certain load conditions. This guarantees a uniform performance.

The indicator for changing the carbon brush (9) blinks red when the carbon brushes are worn. The carbon brushes must be replaced. To do this, send the power tool to an authorised after-sales service centre for Bosch power tools see After-Sales Service and Application Service.

The restart protection feature prevents the power tool from uncontrolled starting after the power supply to it has been interrupted.

To restart the tool, set the on/off switch (1) to the "off" position and then switch the power tool on again.
