Changing the Saw Blade (see figures f1f4)

Only use saw blades that have a maximum permitted speed higher than the no-load speed of the power tool.

Only use saw blades that are recommended by the power tool manufacturer and are suitable for use on the material you want to saw. This will prevent the saw teeth overheating when sawing.

Never use dado saw blades.

When changing the saw blade, make sure that the cutting width is no smaller and the base blade thickness is no larger than the thickness of the riving knife.

  • Bring the power tool into the mitre saw work position.
  • Unscrew the locking screw (10) using the slotted screwdriver (5) provided.
  • Pull the bracket (11) to the right. Now, slide the bracket upwards while swivelling the retracting blade guard (20) back as far as it will go to the rear. This is to ensure that the retracting blade guard is locked in the upper open position.
  • Turn the hex socket screw (12) using the hex key (5) provided while pressing the spindle lock (13) until it engages.
  • Press and hold the spindle lock (13) and loosen the screw (12) by turning it clockwise (left-hand thread).
  • Remove the clamping flange (14).
  • Remove the saw blade (7).

If required, clean all the parts you want to fit before installing them.

  • Place the new saw blade on the inner clamping flange (15).
  • When fitting the saw blade, make sure that the cutting direction of the teeth (direction of the arrow on the saw blade) matches the direction of the arrow on the housing!
  • Place on the clamping flange (14) and the screw (12). Press the spindle lock (13) until it engages and tighten the screw by turning it anticlockwise.
  • Slide the bracket (11) downwards while swivelling the retracting blade guard (20) back down until the bracket locks in place.
  • Reattach the locking screw (10) and tighten it.
