12V System Compatibility

Can I use 12V batteries with any 12V tool?

Yes. Our Bosch Professional 12V tools and batteries have been fully compatible since 2005.

Are the 12V batteries also compatible with Bosch Professional measuring tools?

Yes. The vast majority of our cordless measuring tools belong to the Professional 12V System. This means you can use the same 12V battery interchangeably, even between power tools and measuring tools. Our 12V measuring tools include laser measures, thermo detectors and cameras, wall scanners, and more.

Can I buy bare tools without the battery?

Yes. We understand you don't necessarily need a new battery with every tool you buy. Thanks to our fully compatible 12V system, it's possible for you to simply buy solo tools (tools without the battery) if you already have a 12V battery (even from as early as 2005).

12V Battery Lifetime & Durability

Will I have to buy new batteries all the time?

No. Our 12V batteries are designed to meet professional needs even in extreme conditions. From major temperature changes to dust and water exposure, our batteries are robust enough for tough daily work. In any case, your batteries are covered by our 3-year guarantee.

Are 12V batteries covered by the 3-year guarantee?

Yes! We understand that batteries are central to your daily work. As long as you register your batteries via the PRO360 app, your batteries are covered for material and manufacturing defects within the 3-year warranty period.
