Haven't had the impact driver for a week and did not abuse it in that short time. The bit can still move inside the collet, but when I pull on the release it won't come out. If any body has any idea on what can be done in this situation I'd be greatfull

yes, they do get stuck sometimes

run it in reverse on a strongly embedded screw

gentle tap with a hammer works also

Hi. I had exactly the same problem. Did you fix it? Appreciate if you could share.

Is it not an E6 bit I guess? did u try to pull "release ring" as far as possible and hit the bits with a small hammer? or use pliers to move (lift to right )?

It is an E6 bit. I had to use a needle plier to pull the release ring very hard and use a wrench to pull the bit. It came out. I think there's something wrong with the release ring.

I'm having the same issue... bits get stuck, release ring won't move and a pliers is required. The tool is only a few weeks old and just had some light use. Is the release ring faulty? Don't want to attempt a DIY fix if it would invalidate the warranty. If anyone has heard feedback from Bosch on this I'd love to hear. Thx

It's seem your bit is not long enough or not E6. Normally the release ring will back. But your one is not.
