I bought a Bosch GBH 18v 20 SDS drill from Screwfix in the UK. I was going to buy a different make but was persuaded by the sale assistant that when I register I would be sent a 4 ah battery for free. So I changed my mind and didnt buy the other make which had 2 x 4ah batteries included. I've just registered the drill to get my free battery and been told delivery is 3 months!! I thought maybe I would get the free battery in a few days? But no 3 months! Why 3 months? I can buy and order a Bosch battery online and get it delivered tomorrow, but I have to wait 3 months to get a free one sent by Bosch. Why?

Bosch are having massive spares issues - I have waited over seven months and counting for a dust extractor spare.

If you have not yet bought - just don't buy Bosch would be my advice.  If you have bought, join the queue and be very patient.

Ordered a 6 port charger. Came used it 1 week sent it back. Said they had to wait for a spare part. Waited 2 months. Asked what was happening. Said still waiting... asked for a refund and issued it with in a week. Think they have logistic problems.

Wish I hadn't bought Bosch...just had an email saying they are out of stock of the free batteries and it will be a little longer than 3 months! What a disorganised company... You buy a power tool with no battery but they offer a free battery but you have to wait months before you can even use the power tool. Imagine buying a car and then the car manufacturer telling you you have to wait 3 months before you can get fuel to run it? Are they trying to become a laughing stock of the power tool world?

I think they have quality and logistic problems - and they now seem to be putting the blue range against Rigid and Ryobi rather than the better quality manufacturers.  Very sad to see them go downhill so far and so fast.

I received 3 free batteries yesterday too. Yes the battery life lights seem to stay on for 5 seconds if you do a battery life check by pressing the button on them
