I bought the GDX 18 V-EC impact and my wera rapidator bit holder doesn't fit it as the shaft doesn't go deep enough in the end of the impact so it doesn't click into place so I'm using 50mm impact bits straight in the impact !
No one advertises the length of the 1/4 hex shaft when selling the holders so does anyone know which ones fit it as I don't want to buy one and find out it doesn't click into place ?
Also I like the look of the bosch anti shock control bit holder so does anyone know if that one will fit this tool ok ? Thanks

I've always used my impact bits straight in my impact driver, not many holders cope with the impact. The best I've found is the trend magnetic chuck.

Thanks for the replies , yes I mostly use 50mm bits in my 18v impact but its nice to have a holder as well cos I have a lot of 25mm bits too. I am disappointed that they need to go so deep inside the gdx before they click into place as I have a few things that just don't work in the like my short 50mm wera holder plus I have some of the dewalt flextorq bits with the screwlok but they don't work with the screwlok in this tool !
I have actually found that the milwaukee shockwave holder fits it well as it clicks in and the bottom end of the holder is tight up to the 1/2 inch socket adapter so there is no in and out wobble , I love the gdx and these are my only niggles with it that some adapters and bits don't work well in it that's all.
