hello folks, new here and probably old question, but needing a toothed drive belt for GBS100a belt sander, listed as unavailable.
Most other spares still available, so why not this? throw away machine for a broken belt?
belt number 4" BELT SANDER DRIVE BELT 3 604 736 505.
If USA 1276 w machine uses same belt, some are available at $56, bit of a gamble
If they dont want to supply any more, surely Bosch can find us a replacement in a world producing a million belts a day
AT least please give exact length, width is 14.3mm  and also tooth size and pitch
Thanks

Hello samvado.
Looks like you're right. Replacement belts seem impossible to locate in the UK (is that where you are?).
You could try contacting one of the Bosch spare parts suppliers like MTMC. Although the belt is listed in their parts list but not available to add to the basket, you might find that if you contact them, they'll contact Bosch/Germany to chase the part. They've done this for me in the past.
Failing that, as you said, importing from the US looks like your best option. I found THIS eBay listing for $44.95 + $15 for postage. Thats about 47 GBP but it is for two belts so at least you'd have a spare. They list it as compatible with 1276 DVS and GBS 100 A (both same model).
Good luck.

many thanks Bisch Basch, have ordrered a pair. Can always sell one if I can bear to let one go. Tried to shame Bosch that its against their envirinmental policy to let good machines be wasted for sake of £10 belt... What I wanted is a tech drawing to allow me to source a suitable replacement from the huge market in toothed belts. I suppose an actual new belt will do as well. ASsuming there are still many of these workhorse sanders around...
with thanks S
