Hi all,

Anyone know the inside/outside diameters of this adaptor please?

I need an adapter to go from my GAS 35 with 35mm hose to my mitre saw which has a 40mm hole (outside diameter).  Been struggling to find a part that works and returned multi-size sets from Amazon because no combination of the sizes worked!  Any ideas welcome.

Thanks in advance

Hello busby42
I don't have the GCM 10 S so can't tell you the exact port size but it looks quite narrow - 26-28mm at a guess. The GAS 35, like all Bosch pro vacs comes with the rubber power tool adapter which, when connected to your hose, would slot straight into the GCM 10 S.
Assuming you have another brand of mitre saw - hence the 40mm O/D port - you could try one of these silicone straight reducers. They're mean't for cars but I've used them for dust extraction blags quite often. The one I've linked goes from a 40mm internal diameter (I/D) to 35mm I/D. This should allow the wide end to fit over your mitre saw port and your power tool adapter for your GAS 35 to fit into the narrow end.
Hope this helps.

Hi Bailey,

Helps a lot and much appreciated, thank you.  I saw something similar earlier today so I'm glad you've pointed me in the right direction.  Would there be any issue with the nozzle dropping out in use or does the rubber end nozzle simply push in tight?

Hello again.
I haven't actually used the particular size I pointed you towards. I have used a slightly smaller one (35-32) which worked fine.
Before you buy a 40-35 reducer, I'd measure the thickest part of the taper on your power tool adapter. I've noticed the one on my GAS 20L is a little bigger at the thick end than the one on my GAS 35 for example. Worth double checking.

Good point Bailey,

Have checked and looks like around 36mm at thickest end of nozzle so hopefully a good snug fit.  I have now ordered so hopefullycan make less mess indoors.

Thanks again
Sam
