I agree completely. In terms of quality and ergonomics Bosch smash itnoutnof the park whenn they try, I'm not entirely sure they try much though. I can't understand why they didn't go all out for their first 18v mitre saw and do a 10" version of the GDL. I appreciate a larger blade requires more power but their competitors are doing it no problem. It's the same with the 18v jigsaw, the gst160 is a fantastic jigsaw, the 18v offering is so incredibly average it's ridiculous. As with many on this forum who have invested, I have somewhat of a dilema. I'm currently and for the foreseeable future doing kitchen fitting as 90% of my work and as such I'm considering a cordless plunge saw, cordless mitre saw and possibly a cordless table saw. Bosch's only current 18v mitre saw doesn't make me want to part with £400.

I would pass it by.  If the quality matches their other offshored items expect to be disappointed.

Price - at £550 it is about £100 more expensive than reputable brands like Hikoki.

Size - most other makes have a range of sizes - 15g, 16g, 18g and 23g.  Not even sure what this thing is.

UPDATE - Hikoki have released their next generation multi-volt 18g nailer - NT1850DF - there are starting to be some reviews out there.

Until you look at this, I would not touch the Bosch.
